Fluid Fusion is searching for a Business Development Manager for an established premium European wine business. Armed with a dynamic and celebrated portfolio of wines, the successful candidate will develop and manage further success in the West London On Trade & Home Counties, working across premium hotels, restaurants and bars.
This role reports to the Head of Field Sales and sells, distributes, and promotes brands within the region. The successful candidate will build company profitability through direct sales of the portfolio to new and existing customers. This role will take full responsibility for sales and profitable growth.
The Business Development Manager will employ a consultative approach to partner with key customers for mutual benefit and provide a range of Wine training and education to raise awareness of the extensive portfolio, especially estate wines.
In addition, the role will require close collaboration across all internal functions including Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.
Skills and experience:
- Strategic Planning skills to maximise opportunities across the territory
- Strong wine knowledge is essential, WSET qualified
- Networking effectively with current and prospective customers
- Focused on providing a high standard of Customer Service across the customer base
- Capable of negotiating customer pricing to achieve desired margins
- Capable of delivering basic wine training and tasting
- Established On-Trade wine sales experience and P&L management skills.
- Highly organised and numerate
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
