Do you fancy working with one of the most vibrant and fast-growing brands in premium drinks? As a result of considerable growth and expansion, our client requires an established On Trade Customer Marketing Manager to develop, enhance and optimise strategic promotional plans, sales tools, trade events and customer partnerships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Key contact within the sales & marketing team for all customer marketing stakeholders – both internal and external
- Develop and implement customer marketing plans across all customers in line with the overall marketing plan of the business to include:
- Build, manage and report on customer marketing budget.
- Development, management of the implementation and review of customer marketing calendar across trade customers.
- Lead the management of promotional strategy within customer accounts, including ongoing reporting.
- Support the sales team to optimise promotional plans by providing insight and information to negotiate the strongest mechanics and optimal timing.
- Ensure the range is well presented and appropriate to each channel/customer in accordance with the channel strategy.
- Align in-store, in-bar and channel strategy to ensure activity supports brand marketing campaigns and planned new product/variant launches.
- Provide the sales team with a toolkit of sales support items to sell products successfully in line with the brand strategy e.g., presentations, product information, and sales aids.
- Responsible for the management of trade shows.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our key competitors and collect and share ongoing reports on competitor activity across channels to influence our strategy at local, national, and international levels.
- Potentially manage, develop and coach junior members of the marketing team.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Demonstrable experience of customer marketing in the On & Off Trade channels
- Good understanding of the UK premium drinks sector.
- Experience in Market, competitor & consumer insight, pricing & promotions, commercial reporting, Nielsen data analysis and analytical skills
- Evidence of bringing strategic initiatives to market, working with brand teams and creative agencies
- Educated to degree level
- Numerical and financial skills for budget analysis
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to customers and office as required.
